You might be feeling a bit blue since American Idol‘s season finale on Sunday marked the end of season 4 on ABC (19th season overall). But fear not, Idol fans: the show has been officially renewed for another season.

Prior to this year’s season finale — which resulted in Chayce Beckham being crowned the champion — ABC announced that the search for the next big superstar will continue in 2022. That said, Deadline reports that show runner Trish Kinane is stepping down from her position and executive producer Megan Michaels Wolflick will take her place.

On the American Idol audition website, Idol hopefuls are being asked to sign up for in-person virtual “Idol Across America” audition updates or to submit their online video auditions. Those who prefer to audition virtually will receive more info in the upcoming weeks about dates and other important information.
