America’s Got Talent has showcased incredible acts from all over the world on one stage over the past 15 years. Whether you’ve continued watching for the soulful singing, fascinating magic tricks or hilarious ventriloquism, the popular talent series has something for everyone.
For those who can’t get enough of the heart-stopping acrobatic and danger acts in particular though, you’re in luck. Turns out, Simon Cowell is bringing only the most suspenseful routines to the new AGT spinoff America’s Got Talent: Extreme.
If you’re already on your toes, here’s more information about what you can look forward to with AGT: Extreme:
First off, what is AGT: Extreme?
On May 14, AGT announced the exciting new spinoff on Twitter. “Oh you thought #AGT was extreme enough already?” the show tweeted. “We’re taking the most outrageous and jaw-dropping daredevil acts and having them vie for the ultimate title in AGT: Extreme, coming soon to @NBC! ????.”

According to Deadline, the new show will feature contestants going “head-to-head in the most wild, wacky and craziest stunts to vie for the ultimate title.” While there aren’t yet details on what the winner will receive, we know that AGT typically gives its champions a $1 million prize. Perhaps AGT: Extreme will also offer a similar reward.
When does AGT: Extreme start?
AGT: Extreme is set to premiere during the midseason of summer 2021. While there is no official premiere date announced yet, our best guess is that AGT: Extreme will begin airing episodes sometime between July and August.
Who will be the judges on AGT: Extreme?
Right now, Simon is an executive producer and the only judge confirmed for AGT: Extreme. As for the rest of the panel, it’s too early to say whether AGT season 16 judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofía Vergara and host Terry Crews will join the roster.
How can I watch and stream AGT: Extreme?
AGT: Extreme will air new episodes on NBC. We’ll be sure to update this post once we have a set date and tune-in time to share.
If you have a TV, you can flip to your local NBC channel. Otherwise, you can grab your laptop or favorite mobile device to see heart-pounding talent acts on the NBC site or NBC app.
